This product is part of Jianze’s bamboo research project in collaboration with Finnish designer Ville Kokkonen. The project is dedicated to exploring various types of Chinese bamboo, with a particular focus on those that possess distinctive, beautiful appearances and outstanding structural qualities.

The frame of this chair is crafted from solid bamboo Zong Zhu (棕竹) sourced from southern China, handmade by the Yinshi craftsmen whose skills have been passed down through generations. Each naturally curved bamboo piece is precisely measured and meticulously shaped according to its unique form. An innovative laminated moulded seat complements the frame, achieving a perfect balance between visual appeal and seating comfort.
