vis-à-vis is a design exploration jointly initiated by the Chinese original home design brand Jianze and design studio Studiososlow since 2023. This exhibition marks the first comprehensive presentation of this product series, which includes furniture and home goods.

The series revolves around the concept of "face-to-face interaction," pursuing simplicity, comfort, and a sense of intimacy in form and material. We aim to eliminate excessive distance between objects, much like the relationships between people.

The vis-à-vis series includes side tables, coffee tables, dining tables, armchairs, table lamps, and daily ceramic ware. These pieces complement each other in form, harmonize in color, and achieve balance in material, exploring and creating a comfortable and natural everyday atmosphere.

On the shop window, glass decals outlined with product silhouettes float like delicate symbols, conveying a relaxed spatial ambiance. Looking through the glass, two Taco armchairs can be seen leaning against each other, quietly awaiting guests to take a seat—a subtle nod to the interactive spirit metaphorically embodied by vis-à-vis.

The Joint table featured in this exhibition draws its design concept from the suspended feel of exploded-view diagrams of industrial components. Using exclusively customized metal fittings, it combines colored panels in triangular, circular, and rectangular shapes to construct a unique support system, breaking away from the monotony of traditional coffee and side table forms.

Making its offline debut, the Side by Side round table is composed of intersecting square and circular facets, creating an illusion of volumetric overlap. The gaps between these volumes carve out another space, establishing a distinctive aesthetic order through pure geometric forms. With a diameter of 1.1 meters, it seamlessly integrates into spaces of varying scales.

The Palette table lamps are displayed in a gradient of colors, emitting a soft, warm white light that creates a tranquil and soothing luminous atmosphere.

Also on display are the Puzzle and Pinch series of ceramic vases and tableware, which bring a fresh sense of novelty to daily life through their everyday use.
